Shahid Alam is the Deputy Managing Director of Shah Fatehullah Group and the Head of Public Affairs & Government Relations.

Shahid Alam is a Director of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), the governing body of all textile and spinning factories in Bangladesh. He is serving as the Vice President of Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCCI). Additionally, he is a Director of both Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industries (BCI) and RMG and Textile Industry Skills Council (RTISC).

Shahid Alam is also the Advisor World Sports Alliance (WSA), an International Governmental Organisation (IGO) under the United Nation (UN).
